Main attributions:

- coordinating the process of:

endorsement and legal expertise of draft normative acts and international treaties;

elaboration of the unique opinions of the Government to the legislative initiatives of the deputies;

conducting legal expertise and state registration of departmental normative acts;

examination of the notifications of the Constitutional Court, which mainly involves: analysis of the legal norms subject to constitutional review, elaboration of the opinion of the Ministry / projects of the Government's points of view on the notifications of the Constitutional Court; examination of the approaches of public authorities, legal entities and citizens' petitions;

-  preparation of the views of the Directorate on the steps assigned by the Ministry's management;

-  preparation of informative notes to the Minister of Justice on the draft normative acts included in the agenda for the Government meeting and the meeting of the Secretaries of State;

-  providing methodological assistance to the subdivisions of the Ministry, to the subordinate administrative authorities in the elaboration of the draft normative acts and the elaboration of the answers to the approaches.
