ANNOUNCEMENT regarding the initiation of the amendment of the regulatory framework in order to strengthen the mechanism for evaluating the performance of judges

The Ministry of Justice announces the initiation of the process of drafting a law to amend certain normative acts (strengthening the mechanism for evaluating the performance of judges).The aim of the initiative is to revise the normative framework, in order to streamline the process of evaluating the performance of judges, in the part that concerns the integrity criterion.

In this context, options for optimizing the process of evaluating judges will be examined, including through a possible reconfiguration of the methods for evaluating the various components of integrity, capitalizing on existing institutional competencies and avoiding overlapping duties.

The initiative aims to accelerate ongoing evaluation processes, as well as ensure a coherent and uniform application of evaluation standards throughout the judicial system.

In order to increase the quality of the project, we respectfully request the active involvement of all interested parties by submitting proposals in this regard.
