On March 10, 2020, another working meeting was organized in the Ministry of Justice, attended by representatives of the Superior Council of Prosecutors and the General Prosecutor's Office.
The discussions were focused on the analysis of the actions proposed in the draft of the Action Plan, but also those presented additionally aimed to ensure the independence of prosecutors, strengthen the capacities of the Superior Council of Prosecutors, strengthen the mechanisms for ensuring integrity, optimizing the map of Prosecutor's Offices, and other.
Also, during the working meeting was analyzed the Opinion of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors, issued on February 20, 2020, under the provisions of Law no. 128/2019 for amending Law no. 3/2016 regarding the Prosecutor's Office.
The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Justice, Mr Radu Foltea encouraged all participants to submit additional proposals / comments, so that the drafts of the documents could be completed on mutually, acceptable principles.
