The implementation process of the Forensic Case Management Information System was launched

Today was launched the process on implementing the concept of the Forensic Case Management Information System (the System) –necessary and important information tool for the activity of the judicial expertise institutions.

The System will incorporate functional capabilities for workflow management, information exchange, reporting, data storage and online expertise requests –necessary actions for the processing of forensic files by forensic institutions. Namely, the System will allow the creation and maintenance of forensic files by storing, scheduling and updating the information processed by forensic institutions, which will streamline the work of their staff. Furthermore, reporting time will be considerably reduced as information will no longer be collected on paper but will be integrated using a modern technological reporting tool.

The Ministry of Justice has expressed its appreciation to the development partners for the digitization of the process of conducting and requesting forensic expertise, which will lead to the development and strengthening of forensic work. The Head of the Minister's Office, Mr Marcel Moraru, pointed out that the successful implementation of the System will help to unify the procedures and methodology for carrying out judicial expertise, reiterating that the Ministry of Justice will provide all necessary support in this respect. Moreover, Mr Marcel Moraru informed that the draft Government Decision on the Forensic Case Management Information System has already been expertised and is pending to be approved by the Government.

The concept was developed with the support of UNDP Moldova and Sweden in the framework of the Project "Strengthening Efficiency and Access to Justice in Moldova".
