September 11, 2026, Chisinau - The Minister of Justice, Vladislav Cojuhari, participated in the International Conference entitled "Security and Freedom: Lawyers as Guardians against Abuse of Power", organized by the Union of Lawyers of the Republic of Moldova.
In his message to the legal community, the minister spoke about the relationship between state institutions and the legal profession and the shared responsibility for the proper functioning of justice.
"Responsibility, respect and trust are benchmarks that must be found, mutually and constantly, in our institutional cooperation. And on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, we continue to develop policies that support high standards of integrity, professional independence and quality in the service of citizens", declared Vladislav Cojuhari.
The conference, now in its fourth edition, discussed the independence of the legal profession, effective access to justice and the role of the legal profession in protecting rights and freedoms, as well as the transformations that digitalization brings to legal practice. The event brought together lawyers, international experts and representatives of professional institutions.
